The kids and grandkids began arriving home on the evening of May 26. They were coming for Jeff & Jess' wedding. They came from Colorado, North Carolina, Utah, and New York. On Friday, we had the wedding rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner.
On Saturday, David went to the temple for the first time and we were joined by Sarah, Joel, Allison & Dave.
On Saturday afternoon, Mark took some of the grandkids, sons-in-law, and Becca's boyfriend, Austin, horseback riding.
Gemma was very sad as they rode off and she was too young to ride.
On Sunday morning, we all attended church to hear David give his farewell talk prior to entering the MTC (missionary training center) on June 22. He did a great job and there were many friends there to support him besides his family.
We hurried home from church so the kids could nap before heading out to the wedding. It was a lovely ceremony.

Great photos. The bride and groom make a very handsome couple. Looks like fun was had by all. (Or, at least, in Gemma's case, most of the time.) Wish we could have been there.
Perfect! Except they were watching "The Backyardigans" (not that it REALLY matters). Why are we so awesome?!
You look marvelous Wa! Yes, Jeff is an incredibly handsome young man...but then he comes from an incredibly good looking family so it is to be expected isn't it?
Oh my gosh, I LOVE the back of Jess' dress (hey that rhymes.) And I definitely feel Gemma's pain...being too young to do what everyone else is doing is always a drag. Although, in the case of horseback riding in the 60's, no one cared if you were too young ;) Or if you wore a seatbelt in the car, for that matter! How did we all survive???
Loved all the family pictures. Talk about one beautiful family. How wonderful to have everyone together right before David left. I can't believe he's old enough to be on a mission! It's crazy. It makes me feel VERY old.
Man, you are truly a family of some good-looking people. Everyone looks so fabulous!! Congratulations to Dave, and Jeff and Jess!
